Edgard Scandurra et Les Provocateurs

Edgard Scandurra is one of Sao Paulo’s guitar heroes; mainly thanks to his time spent in the seminal rock band Ira! – they were big in the eighties! He now spends his time collaborating with folks like Arnaldo Antunes and Karina Buhr, working on solo electronic projects or playing shows like this with his group Les Provocateurs. This project was borne out of a love for French pop from the 60s and 70s, and, in particular, the work of Serge Gainsbourg and the many female singers he worked with. Taking the roles of Brigitte Bardot, France Gall and Jane Birkin will be Bárbara Eugênia, Andrea Merkel and Juliana R, a selection of some of Sao Paulo’s finest new singers. Expect “Je T’aime Moi Non Plus” and plenty of obscure French classics.
